Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Neurogranin is a neuronal protein primarily expressed in the brain, known for its role in synaptic plasticity and cognition. Its expression is correlated with learning and memory processes, making it a crucial focus in neuroscience research. As a modulator of calcium signaling, neurogranin binds to calcium ions, which influences protein kinase activity and subsequent neuronal signaling pathways. Research has indicated that alterations in neurogranin levels may be associated with various neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer's disease, where its concentration is significantly altered. The study of recombinant neurogranin protein involves the cloning and expression of its gene to produce the protein in vitro, facilitating a deeper understanding of its structure, function, and potential therapeutic applications. By utilizing recombinant technology, scientists aim to investigate the specific mechanisms by which neurogranin contributes to synaptic function and plasticity, as well as its role in disease progression. This research not only enhances our understanding of fundamental neurobiology but also opens avenues for developing targeted interventions in neurodegenerative conditions, potentially leading to novel biomarkers or treatment strategies.
