Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CASQ2, or Calsequestrin 2, is a key calcium-binding protein primarily found in cardiac and skeletal muscle cells, playing a critical role in calcium homeostasis and muscle contraction. Mutations in the CASQ2 gene have been linked to various hereditary diseases, particularly catecholaminergic polymorphic ventricular tachycardia (CPVT), a life-threatening cardiac arrhythmia triggered by physical activity or emotional stress. Understanding the structure and function of CASQ2 is vital for elucidating its role in calcium signaling and its implications in cardiac pathophysiology. Research on recombinant CASQ2 proteins involves the study of their biochemical properties, interaction with other proteins, and impact on calcium dynamics within the sarcoplasmic reticulum. By producing and analyzing recombinant CASQ2, researchers aim to develop better models for studying the molecular mechanisms underlying arrhythmias and potential therapeutic strategies for CPVT and related cardiac disorders. This research not only contributes to our fundamental understanding of muscle physiology but also opens avenues for the development of targeted treatments for cardiac diseases associated with calcium dysregulation.
