Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALOX5AP, or Arachidonate 5-Lipoxygenase Activating Protein, is a crucial component in the biosynthesis of leukotrienes, which are inflammatory mediators involved in various pathological processes, including asthma, cardiovascular diseases, and inflammatory disorders. Research on ALOX5AP has gained significant attention due to its role in regulating the activity of the 5-lipoxygenase enzyme, which catalyzes the conversion of arachidonic acid to leukotrienes. Given the importance of leukotrienes in mediating inflammation and immune responses, the study of ALOX5AP is vital for understanding the mechanisms underlying these conditions. Additionally, genetic studies have identified polymorphisms in the ALOX5AP gene that are associated with altered leukotriene production and susceptibility to inflammatory diseases. The recombinant protein of ALOX5AP offers a valuable tool for investigating its functional properties, potential interactions with other signaling molecules, and the downstream effects on leukotriene synthesis. By characterizing the ALOX5AP protein, researchers aim to identify novel therapeutic targets and develop innovative strategies for treating diseases linked to dysregulated inflammation. The growing body of evidence regarding ALOX5AP highlights its potential as a biomarker for inflammation and a target for drug development, emphasizing the need for continued research in this area to unveil new insights into its biological roles and therapeutic implications.
