稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CDK5 (Cyclin-Dependent Kinase 5) is a serine/threonine kinase that is distinct from conventional cyclin-dependent kinases due to its activation by non-cyclin cofactors, specifically p35 and p39. This unique regulation allows CDK5 to play critical roles in various cellular processes, particularly in the central nervous system where it is predominantly expressed. CDK5 has been implicated in neuronal development, synaptic function, and the regulation of neuronal migration. Dysregulation of CDK5 activity has been associated with several neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and schizophrenia. Research has focused on the pathological mechanisms through which aberrant CDK5 activity contributes to neurodegeneration and cognitive decline. As a result, CDK5 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target, with studies exploring small molecule inhibitors aimed at modulating its activity. Understanding the precise roles of CDK5 not only sheds light on its fundamental biological functions but also aids in the development of strategies to combat neurodegenerative diseases where CDK5 plays a pivotal role. This multifaceted nature of CDK5, coupled with its involvement in crucial neurobiological processes, underscores the importance of ongoing research into its structure, regulation, and function.
