Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
CALCR, or Calcitonin Receptor, is a G-protein-coupled receptor involved in calcium homeostasis and bone metabolism. Its significance has gained attention in the context of various physiological and pathological conditions, including osteoporosis and chronic pain. The receptor mediates the effects of calcitonin, a peptide hormone that plays a critical role in decreasing bone resorption and regulating serum calcium levels. Research on the recombinant expression of CALCR protein is crucial for understanding its structure-function relationship and signaling mechanisms. Generating CALCR as a recombinant protein offers an avenue for detailed biochemical and pharmacological studies, enabling the evaluation of ligand-receptor interactions and the exploration of novel therapeutic strategies. Such studies could lead to the development of new drugs targeting CALCR for the treatment of bone-related diseases and metabolic disorders. Moreover, understanding the receptor's role in signaling pathways may reveal potential targets for treating pain syndromes, thereby expanding the therapeutic applications of CALCR-related compounds. The ability to produce high-quality CALCR protein through recombinant technology is a key step in advancing both basic research and clinical applications, contributing to the broader field of endocrinology and metabolism.
