  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

The study of BANP (Bcl-2 Associated Agonist of Cell Death Protein) recombinant protein is situated at the intersection of cancer research and apoptosis regulation. As a member of the Bcl-2 family, BANP plays a pivotal role in modulating cell survival and death, making it an essential focus for understanding tumorigenesis. In various cancers, the balance between pro-apoptotic and anti-apoptotic signals is often disrupted, leading to unchecked cell growth and resistance to therapy. By investigating BANP's role in these processes, researchers aim to uncover its potential as a therapeutic target. The production of recombinant BANP allows for detailed biochemical studies, enabling the analysis of its functional properties and interactions with other apoptotic proteins. Understanding how BANP influences cell fate could illuminate new strategies for promoting apoptosis in cancer cells, thereby enhancing the efficacy of existing treatments and potentially leading to the development of novel cancer therapies. The recombinant form of this protein not only facilitates structural and functional analyses but also provides a platform for screening potential inhibitors or activators, crucial for advancing targeted therapies aimed at restoring the apoptotic pathway in malignancies. Consequently, ongoing research aims to decipher the mechanistic pathways involving BANP, which could contribute significantly to the fields of cancer biology and therapeutic innovation.
