Gene name
IL-17F

简介
IL-17F is an inflammatory homodimeric cytokine that induces many proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines. IL-17F also induces antimicrobial peptides. IL-17F plays a protective role in colon cancer development and can be used for the research of autoimmune diseases, infection and cancer[1][2]. IL-17F Protein, Human (HEK293) is a recombinant human IL-17F protein and is expressed in HEK293 cells.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Interleukin-17F (IL-17F) is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine that belongs to the IL-17 family, which includes several members known for their pivotal roles in autoimmune diseases and inflammatory responses. Research on IL-17F has gained significant attention due to its involvement in various conditions, such as asthma, psoriasis, and autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Unlike its closely related counterpart IL-17A, IL-17F exhibits unique biological activities and signaling pathways that contribute to tissue inflammation and remodeling. Characterization of the IL-17F protein has advanced significantly, with recombinant forms of IL-17F being produced for therapeutic and research purposes. Understanding the structure-function relationship of IL-17F provides insights into the mechanism of action and potential therapeutic targets for blocking its activity. Studies have demonstrated that neutralizing IL-17F can mitigate inflammation and improve disease outcomes in preclinical models, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Furthermore, ongoing research aims to elucidate the interactions between IL-17F and other cytokines in the immune response, as well as its potential role in skewing T-cell differentiation. Overall, the investigation of IL-17F and its recombinant proteins is crucial for developing novel immunomodulatory therapies aimed at treating inflammatory diseases more effectively.
