Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Beta-amyloid 42 (Aβ42) is a peptide that plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of Alzheimer's disease, one of the most common neurodegenerative disorders affecting millions worldwide. Aβ42 is derived from the amyloid precursor protein (APP) through sequential enzymatic cleavage, and its aggregation leads to the formation of neurotoxic plaques in the brain, contributing to neuronal death and cognitive decline. The study of recombinant Aβ42 proteins has gained significant attention as a tool for understanding the mechanisms underlying amyloid plaque formation and its subsequent effects on synaptic function and memory. Researchers aim to produce recombinant Aβ42 to explore its structural properties, assess its aggregation behavior, and investigate its interactions with other proteins and cellular components. Through in vitro and in vivo models, these studies seek to elucidate the role of Aβ42 in the disease process, identify potential therapeutic targets, and develop strategies to prevent or reverse amyloid-related neurotoxicity. By providing a better understanding of Aβ42 dynamics, researchers hope to pave the way for innovative treatments that could halt or significantly slow the progression of Alzheimer's disease, ultimately improving the quality of life for affected individuals and their families.
