Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RAG2 (Recombination Activating Gene 2) is a critical protein involved in the V(D)J recombination process, a central mechanism for generating diverse immunoglobulin (Ig) and T-cell receptor (TCR) repertoires in adaptive immunity. The RAG complex, composed of RAG1 and RAG2, orchestrates the rearrangement of gene segments within immune cell precursors, leading to the production of a vast array of antigen receptors, essential for effective immune responses. Disruptions or mutations in RAG2 can significantly impair the immune system, leading to severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) and other immunological disorders. Research into RAG2 and its structure-function relationships has been pivotal in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying V(D)J recombination. Studies have utilized various techniques, such as X-ray crystallography and cryo-electron microscopy, to elucidate the functional domains and interactions of RAG2 with DNA and other co-factors. Additionally, the exploration of RAG2's regulatory mechanisms and its interactions with post-translational modifications has revealed insights into how these processes are fine-tuned during lymphocyte development. Given the therapeutic implications, including the potential for gene editing applications and immunotherapy, the biochemical characterization of recombinant RAG2 proteins is of significant interest. Overall, ongoing research on RAG2 not only enhances our understanding of immune system development and function but also opens avenues for innovative strategies in treating immunological diseases and enhancing the efficacy of vaccines.
