Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GlcB, also known as 2-deoxy-D-glucose-6-phosphate phosphatase, plays a crucial role in carbohydrate metabolism, particularly in bacteria where it contributes to the regulation of glucose levels and energy production. The study of GlcB, especially its recombinant protein, has gained significant attention due to its potential applications in biotechnology and metabolic engineering. Understanding GlcB's structure and function can provide insights into bacterial metabolism and the mechanisms underlying cellular responses to stress and nutrient availability. Additionally, the recombinant production of GlcB facilitates the study of its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and interaction with other metabolic pathways. This could lead to advancements in developing microbial systems for efficient carbohydrate utilization, which is essential for various biotechnological processes, including biofuel production and bioremediation. Moreover, uncovering the regulatory mechanisms involving GlcB could also have implications for understanding metabolic disorders in higher organisms, as similar pathways exist across different species. Therefore, research on GlcB recombinant protein not only enhances our comprehension of microbial physiology but also paves the way for novel biotechnological innovations leveraging microbial systems for sustainable solutions.
