Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The study of recombinant pbpC protein is rooted in its critical role in bacterial physiology, particularly in the context of antibiotic resistance and cell wall biosynthesis. The pbpC gene encodes a penicillin-binding protein that is integral to the peptidoglycan synthesis pathway in bacteria, contributing to cell shape, stability, and integrity. Understanding the function and structure of pbpC is vital, especially with the rising concern of multi-drug-resistant bacterial strains that pose significant challenges in clinical settings. By producing recombinant pbpC, researchers can investigate its enzymatic mechanisms and interactions with beta-lactam antibiotics, shedding light on resistance mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets. Additionally, this research facilitates the development of novel inhibitors that might restore the efficacy of existing antibiotics. Through techniques such as X-ray crystallography and molecular modeling, scientists seek to elucidate the three-dimensional structure of pbpC, enabling a deeper understanding of its role in bacterial cell life and resistance. This knowledge can inform new strategies for combating persistent bacterial infections and contribute to the broader field of antimicrobial drug development, aiming to mitigate the public health crisis posed by antibiotic resistance.
