Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
RIMBP2 (RIMS-binding protein 2) is a significant member of the RIM (Rab3-interacting molecule) family, playing a crucial role in synaptic transmission and neurotransmitter release. As a scaffolding protein, RIMBP2 interacts with various presynaptic proteins, including voltage-gated calcium channels, thereby facilitating synaptic vesicle exocytosis. Dysregulation of RIMBP2 has been implicated in several neurodevelopmental disorders and neurological diseases, making it a target of interest for researchers. The study of recombinant RIMBP2 protein provides insights into its structural and functional properties, allowing for the exploration of its role in synaptic dynamics. Understanding the mechanisms by which RIMBP2 influences synaptic function may reveal novel therapeutic strategies for treating diseases associated with synaptic dysfunction, such as autism spectrum disorders and schizophrenia. The generation of recombinant RIMBP2 protein allows for in-depth biochemical and biophysical characterization, thus enhancing our understanding of its interactions and signaling pathways in the nervous system. This research is vital in elucidating how synaptic proteins contribute to brain function and how their alterations may lead to neuropsychiatric conditions.
