Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
SLC25A25, a member of the solute carrier family, encodes for a mitochondrial carrier protein primarily responsible for transporting acylcarnitines across the inner mitochondrial membrane. This protein plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by facilitating the transport of fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they undergo β-oxidation to produce energy. Dysregulation or mutations in the SLC25A25 gene have been implicated in metabolic disorders, particularly those affecting fatty acid metabolism, leading to significant health consequences. The recombinant expression of SLC25A25 is essential for studying its function, as well as its interactions with other metabolic pathways and proteins. By producing this protein in a controlled laboratory setting, researchers can investigate its transport mechanisms, analyze how specific mutations affect its function, and develop potential therapeutic strategies for related metabolic disorders. Overall, the study of SLC25A25 and its recombinant protein form is vital for advancing our understanding of mitochondrial function and its relevance in health and disease.
