Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NCAM-1 (Neural Cell Adhesion Molecule 1) and CD56 (also known as neural cell adhesion molecule or NCAM) are important cell adhesion molecules involved in various biological processes, including nervous system development, immune response, and cellular signaling. NCAM-1, primarily expressed in the nervous system, plays a crucial role in neuron-neuron and neuron-glia interactions, influencing neuronal survival, differentiation, and migration. CD56 is widely recognized for its expression on natural killer (NK) cells, where it contributes to their activation and function in immune responses. The study of NCAM-1/CD56 recombinant proteins has gained traction due to their potential applications in both therapeutic and diagnostic contexts. By generating and characterizing these recombinant proteins, researchers aim to elucidate their roles in cell adhesion and signaling pathways, which may contribute to understanding various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancers. Furthermore, exploring NCAM-1/CD56 interactions may reveal new targets for immunotherapy, particularly in optimizing NK cell responses against tumors. Thus, the investigation of NCAM-1/CD56 recombinant proteins is vital for advancing our understanding of fundamental biological mechanisms and developing innovative therapeutic strategies.
