Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
COX5B is a subunit of cytochrome c oxidase (CCO), a critical enzyme in the mitochondrial respiratory chain that plays a vital role in cellular energy production through oxidative phosphorylation. Research into COX5B is important due to its involvement in mitochondrial function and cellular metabolism, as well as its implications in various diseases, including mitochondrial disorders and cancer. Understanding the structure and function of COX5B is essential for elucidating the mechanisms by which CCO contributes to ATP synthesis and for identifying potential therapeutic targets. Recent advances in molecular biology techniques have enabled the expression and purification of recombinant COX5B, allowing researchers to explore its biochemical properties, assembly into the CCO complex, and interaction with other mitochondrial proteins. Studies on COX5B have also highlighted its regulatory roles in enzyme activity and its responses to different physiological conditions. As a result, the characterization of recombinant COX5B not only enhances our understanding of mitochondrial biology but also provides insights into how dysregulation of mitochondrial function can lead to pathophysiological states, paving the way for novel treatment strategies.
