Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Monoamine oxidase A (MAOA) is an enzyme that plays a critical role in the degradation of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, norepinephrine, and dopamine, which are essential for regulating mood, emotion, and other neurological functions. Alterations in MAOA activity have been implicated in various psychiatric disorders, including depression, anxiety, and aggression. The study of recombinant MAOA protein has gained momentum as researchers seek to better understand its structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms. By expressing MAOA through recombinant DNA technology, scientists can produce large quantities of the enzyme for detailed biochemical analysis, enabling the investigation of its catalytic properties and interactions with potential pharmacological agents. Furthermore, exploring the genetic and environmental factors that influence MAOA expression can provide insights into its role in the etiology of mental health conditions and help identify therapeutic targets. This research is also significant in the context of understanding how variations in the MAOA gene are linked to behavioral traits, which has implications for fields such as psychology, genetics, and personalized medicine. Overall, the study of recombinant MAOA protein is essential for advancing our understanding of neurobiology and developing effective treatments for mental health disorders.
