  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Grb14 (Growth factor receptor-bound protein 14) is a member of the Grb family of proteins, which are crucial mediators in signaling pathways associated with various growth factors and hormones. It is known to interact with insulin and insulin-like growth factor receptors, playing a significant role in regulating cellular responses to these hormones. The study of Grb14 recombinant proteins has gained attention due to its potential implications in metabolic diseases, such as obesity and diabetes, where insulin signaling is impaired. Moreover, Grb14 is implicated in the modulation of cell proliferation and differentiation, making it a subject of interest in cancer research. The ability to produce Grb14 as a recombinant protein facilitates detailed functional studies, allows for the elucidation of its molecular mechanisms, and aids in the identification of potential therapeutic targets. Research has shown that Grb14 may act as a competitive inhibitor of insulin signaling, thereby influencing glucose homeostasis and lipid metabolism. As such, understanding the structure and function of Grb14 is critical for developing strategies to combat insulin resistance and related conditions. Additionally, insights gained from Grb14 studies may lead to advancements in the treatment of various cancers, given its role in growth factor signaling pathways. Therefore, the production and analysis of Grb14 recombinant protein represent a vital area of research with significant implications for both metabolic and cancer biology.
