  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

NCOA4, or Nuclear Receptor Coactivator 4, has emerged as a significant protein in understanding various biological processes, particularly those related to cellular metabolism, hormone signaling, and iron homeostasis. As a coactivator, NCOA4 plays a pivotal role in enhancing the transcriptional activity of nuclear receptors, influencing gene expression in response to hormonal signals. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in the regulation of ferritinophagy, a selective autophagic process that facilitates the degradation of ferritin to liberate iron for cellular use. This role is particularly critical in the context of iron metabolism, where dysregulation can lead to disorders such as anemia or iron overload diseases. Furthermore, NCOA4 has been implicated in cancer biology, as its overexpression is associated with several malignancies, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic target or biomarker. The characterization of NCOA4, including its structure, binding interactions, and regulatory mechanisms, is essential for elucidating its function and exploring its associations with various pathophysiological conditions. Given the protein's emerging importance, ongoing research aims to further clarify its roles in cellular processes and its potential implications in health and disease. Understanding NCOA4's multifaceted roles may pave the way for innovative approaches in targeted therapies and personalized medicine strategies.
