  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Siglec-11, a member of the sialic acid-binding immunoglobulin-like lectin (Siglec) family, has garnered significant attention in immunological research due to its unique role in modulating the immune response. Expressed primarily on myeloid cells such as macrophages and dendritic cells, Siglec-11 plays a critical role in recognizing sialylated ligands, which are often presented on pathogens and tumor cells, thereby influencing phagocytosis and cell signaling pathways. Notably, Siglec-11 is involved in the regulation of inflammation and has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders. Its ability to differentiate between self and non-self through sialic acid recognition makes it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. Research on recombinant Siglec-11 proteins aims to elucidate its functional mechanisms and interactions, providing insights into its role in immune regulation. Additionally, understanding the structural basis of Siglec-11 interactions could pave the way for the development of novel immunomodulatory drugs, potentially enhancing the efficacy of existing therapies and contributing to personalized medicine approaches in treating immune-related conditions. Thus, recombinant Siglec-11 proteins serve as valuable tools for investigating the complexities of the immune system and hold promise for innovative therapeutic strategies.
