Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IA2 (Insulinoma-Associated Protein 2) is a member of the phosphotyrosine phosphatase family and plays a significant role in insulin secretion and synthesis in pancreatic beta cells. Its involvement in the autoimmune destruction of these cells has made it a focal point of research, especially in the context of type 1 diabetes, where IA2 is recognized as a prominent autoantigen. The study of IA2 and its recombinant proteins has advanced our understanding of autoimmune responses in diabetes. Research has identified various epitopes on IA2 that can be targeted for therapeutic purposes or used in the development of diagnostic assays. Moreover, IA2's expression patterns and post-translational modifications offer insights into its functional dynamics in cellular signaling pathways, making it a potential target for intervention strategies aimed at preserving beta-cell function or modulating immune reactions. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have enabled the production of IA2 proteins with specific modifications that enhance their immunogenic properties for vaccine development or therapeutic applications. As a result, IA2 continues to be a critical focus in both basic and translational research, aiming to develop novel approaches to prevent or treat autoimmune diabetes effectively.
