Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    CD97

  • 简介

CD97, a receptor crucial for leukocyte migration, participates in adhesion and signaling during early leukocyte activation. Forming a heterodimer with a large extracellular alpha subunit and a seven-transmembrane beta subunit, CD97 interacts with complement decay-accelerating factor (DAF). The largest isoform (isoform 1) specifically engages with chondroitin sulfate, showcasing its diverse roles in cellular processes. CD97 Protein, Human (HEK293, hFc) is the recombinant human-derived CD97 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

CD97, a member of the EGF-TM7 family of adhesion receptors, plays a significant role in various biological processes, including cell adhesion, migration, and immune responses. It is characterized by its unique structure, which includes a large extracellular domain containing several EGF-like repeats and a single transmembrane domain. CD97 is expressed in various tissues and cell types, and its expression patterns have been linked to different physiological and pathological conditions, such as inflammation, cancer metastasis, and immune disorders. The study of CD97 recombinant proteins has gained attention as researchers aim to elucidate its functional mechanisms and therapeutic potential. Recombinant CD97 proteins can be used to investigate the receptor's binding interactions with ligands, its signaling pathways, and its role in cell behavior. Additionally, understanding CD97's involvement in disease contexts, like tumor progression and autoimmune diseases, highlights the need for targeted interventions. The ability to produce CD97 as a recombinant protein facilitates the development of novel therapeutic strategies, including monoclonal antibodies and antagonists that could modulate its activity in disease settings. Overall, research on CD97 recombinant proteins is crucial for advancing our knowledge of this receptor's biological significance and its potential as a therapeutic target.
