简介
B Cell Maturation Antigen (BCMA) also referred to as TNFRSF17 or CD269, is a transmembrane glycoprotein member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) superfamily. BCMA is used as a biomarker for Multiple myeloma (MM). BCMA mainly plays an important role in B cells for their proliferation, survival and also differentiates them into plasma cells[1]. BCMA/TNFRSF17 Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant protein with a C-Terminal Fc label, It consists of 54 amino acids (M1-A54) and is produced in HEK293 cells.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BCMA (B-cell maturation antigen), also known as TNFRSF17 (tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 17), is a crucial receptor predominantly expressed on mature B cells and plasma cells. Its role in regulating B cell survival, differentiation, and immunological functions has made it a significant target in immunotherapy, particularly for hematological malignancies such as multiple myeloma. Research highlights BCMA's involvement in the pathogenesis of these diseases, as its upregulation is often associated with increased tumor proliferation and survival. Consequently, the development of BCMA-targeting therapies, including monoclonal antibodies and CAR T-cell therapies, has gained considerable attention in recent years. These strategies aim to harness the immune system to selectively destroy BCMA-expressing cancer cells while sparing normal tissues. The study of recombinant BCMA/TNFRSF17 proteins not only allows for the examination of its structural and functional properties but also facilitates the development of diagnostic tools and therapeutic agents. Understanding the molecular mechanisms governing BCMA signaling pathways is critical for enhancing therapeutic efficacy and minimizing potential off-target effects. As research progresses, BCMA continues to represent a promising frontier in the fight against malignancies, offering hope for improved treatment options and patient outcomes in the field of oncology.
