简介
Granzyme B/GZMB Protein, found in cytotoxic T-cells and NK-cells, activates caspase-independent pyroptosis and cleaves gasdermin-E (GSDME), inducing target cell death. It also participates in caspase activation cascade, promoting apoptosis and plasma membrane repair during bacterial infection. Granzyme B/GZMB Protein, Mouse (HEK293, C-His) is the recombinant mouse-derived Granzyme B/GZMB protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Granzyme B (GZMB) is a serine protease that plays a crucial role in the immune system, primarily in mediating apoptosis in target cells. It is predominantly expressed by cytotoxic T lymphocytes and natural killer (NK) cells, where it is released alongside perforin to induce programmed cell death in infected or malignant cells. Research into GZMB has gained significant interest due to its potential implications in cancer therapy and autoimmune diseases. The ability of GZMB to cleave a variety of cellular substrates suggests its involvement in diverse biological processes beyond apoptosis, including inflammation and tissue remodeling. However, the therapeutic applications of GZMB have been hindered by difficulties in obtaining functional recombinant proteins for studies. Advances in recombinant DNA technology have facilitated the production of GZMB in various expression systems, allowing for a deeper exploration of its mechanisms of action, substrate specificity, and potential as a therapeutic agent. Recent studies utilizing recombinant GZMB have revealed insights into its role in immune regulation and identified GZMB as a biomarker for certain cancer types. Furthermore, understanding the structure-function relationship of GZMB through crystallography and mutational analysis opens new avenues for drug development, particularly in designing inhibitors that can modulate its activity. As researchers continue to unravel the complexities of GZMB, its full potential in clinical applications and as a target for innovative therapies remains an active area of investigation.
