Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    RUVBL2

  • 简介

The RUVBL2 protein has DNA-stimulated ATPase and DNA helicase activities and can hexamerize for ATP hydrolysis. As a member of the NuA4 complex, RUVBL2 contributes to histone acetylation, altering nucleosome-DNA interactions to activate genes. RUVBL2 Protein, Human (His-SUMO) is the recombinant human-derived RUVBL2 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-SUMO, N-6*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

RUVBL2, a member of the AAA+ ATPase family, has emerged as a significant focus of research due to its involvement in various cellular processes, including chromatin remodeling, transcriptional regulation, and DNA repair. This protein, encoded by the RUVBL2 gene, plays a critical role in the assembly and function of several multi-protein complexes, influencing cellular functions such as cell cycle progression and apoptosis. Dysregulation of RUVBL2 has been implicated in numerous cancers, making it a potential biomarker and therapeutic target. Recent studies have demonstrated that RUVBL2 interacts with key oncogenic pathways, thereby promoting tumorigenesis. The recombinant expression of RUVBL2 allows researchers to investigate its structure, function, and interactions in detail, paving the way for understanding its role in cancer biology and identifying potential strategies for targeted therapies. Furthermore, the production of RUVBL2 as a recombinant protein facilitates the exploration of its mechanistic roles in various biochemical assays, contributing to the development of inhibitors that could disrupt its function in cancer cells. As a result, RUVBL2 represents a promising candidate for further study in the context of both basic cellular research and clinical applications in cancer treatment.
