Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
S100A1 is a member of the S100 protein family, characterized by its ability to bind calcium and zinc ions, playing a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation, differentiation, and apoptosis. Research into S100A1 has gained momentum due to its involvement in multiple pathophysiological conditions, such as cardiac hypertrophy, neurodegenerative diseases, and cancer. As a cardiomyocyte-specific protein, S100A1 has been implicated in regulating cardiac contractility and calcium handling, making it a potential therapeutic target for heart disease. The recombinant protein form of S100A1 allows for in-depth studies of its biochemical properties, interactions, and roles in signal transduction pathways. By producing S100A1 through recombinant techniques, researchers can obtain high-purity proteins for functional assays, therapeutic applications, and structural studies, facilitating a better understanding of its mechanisms in health and disease. Recent advancements in recombinant DNA technology have further enabled the exploration of S100A1 as a biomarker or therapeutic agent, emphasizing its importance in translational research. Thus, the study of recombinant S100A1 not only broadens our understanding of its biological functions but also opens new avenues for developing targeted treatments for diseases associated with its dysregulation.
