  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Gas6 (Growth Arrest-Specific Gene 6) is a vitamin K-dependent protein that plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell survival, proliferation, and immune regulation. It has garnered significant attention due to its involvement in several pathophysiological conditions, notably cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and autoimmune disorders. Gas6 interacts with receptor tyrosine kinases such as Axl, Tyro3, and Mer, which are implicated in the regulation of cell growth and apoptosis. Research has demonstrated that Gas6 can enhance the survival of various cell types under stress conditions, including apoptosis triggered by chemotherapy. Additionally, elevated levels of Gas6 have been correlated with poor prognosis in certain cancers, highlighting its potential as a biomarker and therapeutic target. Various studies have focused on the recombinant expression of Gas6 to elucidate its structural and functional properties, paving the way for the development of Gas6-based therapies and diagnostic tools. Understanding its mechanism of action and refining its recombinant production are critical steps toward harnessing its therapeutic potential in treating diseases where Gas6 signaling is dysregulated. The ongoing exploration of GAS6 recombinant proteins in preclinical and clinical settings represents a promising frontier in biomedical research, aiming to translate these findings into effective therapeutic strategies.
