简介
ATL3 protein is a GTPase that mediates homotypic fusion of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membranes by promoting membrane tethering through the formation of trans homomers.ATL3 is critical for ER tubular network biogenesis, contributing to the organization and dynamics of this important cellular structure.ATL3 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived ATL3 protein, expressed by E.coli , with N-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ATL3 (atypical telomere length regulation 3) is an essential protein that plays a critical role in maintaining telomere stability and cellular homeostasis. Abnormalities in telomere length regulation are associated with various human diseases, including cancer and age-related disorders. Recent studies have highlighted the involvement of ATL3 in the regulation of mitochondrial dynamics and endoplasmic reticulum (ER) homeostasis, suggesting its significance beyond telomere maintenance. ATL3 has been identified as a key player in ER-phagy, a selective autophagy process that regulates the turnover of the endoplasmic reticulum, thereby influencing cellular stress responses and metabolic regulation. Understanding the functional properties of ATL3 and its interactions with other cellular components can provide insights into its contributions to cellular aging and disease pathogenesis. The potential of ATL3 as a therapeutic target for diseases linked to telomere dysfunction and mitochondrial disorders makes it a subject of increasing research interest. Furthermore, investigating the structure-function relationship of ATL3 through recombinant protein studies can elucidate its mechanistic roles in cellular contexts and may pave the way for the development of novel interventions aimed at modulating its activity in pathophysiological conditions. As researchers delve deeper into the multifaceted roles of ATL3, its characterization could uncover new paradigms in the understanding of telomere biology and its implications for health and disease.
