简介
ANGPTL5/Angiopoietin-like 5 Protein, a member of angiopoietin-like proteins (ANGPTLs) family, is mainly expressed in adult human heart. It plays a functional role in the expansion of human cord blood hematopoietic stem cells. In addition, ANGPTL5 is an adipocytokine and has an important role in metabolic processes including lipid metabolism, obesity, and type 2 diabetes mellitus. ANGPTL5/Angiopoietin-like 5 Protein, Human (sf9, GST) is the recombinant human-derived ANGPTL5/Angiopoietin-like 5 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with N-GST labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ANGPTL5, or Angiopoietin-like 5, is a protein that has garnered significant interest in biomedical research due to its roles in metabolic regulation and cardiovascular health. It belongs to the Angiopoietin-like family, which is known for its involvement in various physiological processes, including angiogenesis and lipid metabolism. Studies have indicated that ANGPTL5 plays a crucial role in regulating lipid levels in the bloodstream, particularly in modulating triglyceride metabolism, thus impacting conditions such as obesity and atherosclerosis. Furthermore, research has suggested that ANGPTL5 may be linked to insulin sensitivity and inflammation, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions in metabolic disorders and cardiovascular diseases. The recombinant form of ANGPTL5 has been employed in various studies to elucidate its biological functions and mechanisms of action, paving the way for novel strategies to address metabolic and cardiovascular issues. As such, understanding the properties and functions of ANGPTL5 through recombinant protein studies holds promise for the development of innovative treatments aimed at improving metabolic health and addressing related diseases.
