Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    PSMD7

  • 简介

The PSMD7 protein is a component of the 26S proteasome and promotes the ATP-dependent degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. It maintains protein homeostasis by eliminating misfolded or unnecessary proteins, thereby protecting cellular function. PSMD7 Protein, Human (sf9) is the recombinant human-derived PSMD7 protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with tag free.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PSMD7, a pivotal component of the 26S proteasome, plays a critical role in protein degradation and the regulation of various cellular processes, including cell cycle progression, apoptosis, and immune response. As a member of the proteasome regulatory complex, PSMD7 is responsible for substrate recognition and unfolding, facilitating the subsequent proteolytic degradation of ubiquitinated proteins. Dysregulation of PSMD7 has been implicated in several pathologies, including cancer, neurodegenerative diseases, and autoimmune disorders, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Recent studies have focused on the structural and functional characterization of PSMD7, as understanding its interactions within the proteasome complex could provide insights into the mechanisms of protein homeostasis and the development of novel drugs. The production of recombinant PSMD7 protein allows researchers to explore its enzymatic properties, binding affinities, and interactions with other proteasomal components, which can aid in elucidating its precise role in cellular stress responses and disease mechanisms. Furthermore, investigating PSMD7 as a biomarker for certain diseases may contribute to personalized medicine approaches. Given the increasing recognition of the proteasome's involvement in cancer progression and treatment resistance, research on PSMD7 is of paramount importance for developing new therapeutic strategies that target the ubiquitin-proteasome system. Overall, the study of PSMD7 recombinant protein is crucial for advancing our understanding of cellular proteostasis and its implications for human health and disease.
