Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    IL-13R alpha 1

  • 简介

The IL13RA1 protein is critical in immune signaling and binds with low affinity to IL13. It binds to IL4RA to form a functional IL13 receptor for cellular responses. IL-13R alpha 1 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived IL-13R alpha 1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-6*His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Interleukin-13 receptor alpha 1 (IL-13Rα1) is a critical component of the interleukin-13 (IL-13) receptor complex, which plays a significant role in various biological processes, including immune response, inflammation, and tissue remodeling. IL-13 is a key cytokine involved in the pathogenesis of allergic diseases, asthma, and fibrotic conditions, as it mediates the effects of allergy and contributes to the differentiation of Th2 cells. The IL-13Rα1 subunit is known to interact with IL-4 as well, highlighting its importance in overlapping signaling pathways that regulate inflammatory responses. Due to its involvement in these pathologies, IL-13Rα1 has garnered attention as a potential therapeutic target for developing novel treatments for asthma and other allergic diseases. The production of recombinant IL-13Rα1 protein allows for detailed studies on its structure, function, and interactions with ligands, thereby facilitating the understanding of its role in IL-13 signaling and its broader implications in immunological disorders. Furthermore, recombinant forms of IL-13Rα1 can be utilized in drug screening processes and for the development of potential antagonists that might inhibit IL-13-mediated effects, ultimately contributing to innovative therapeutic strategies. Understanding the mechanisms by which IL-13Rα1 operates may lead to significant advancements in treating related diseases and improving patient outcomes.
