Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    PPM1H

  • 简介

PPM1H, the enzyme subject, dephosphorylates CDKN1B at 'Thr-187,' critically regulating cellular processes. By preventing proteasomal degradation, PPM1H stabilizes CDKN1B, emphasizing its role in protein stabilization. This dephosphorylation event, orchestrated by PPM1H, intricately controls CDKN1B levels, showcasing its involvement in modulating cell cycle progression and regulating key cellular functions. PPM1H, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived PPM1H, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PPM1H, also known as Protein Phosphatase 2C Homolog H, is a member of the protein phosphatase 2C family, which plays a crucial role in regulating cellular signaling pathways by dephosphorylating serine and threonine residues on target proteins. This regulatory function is vital in numerous biological processes, including stress response, cell cycle regulation, and apoptosis. Recent studies have highlighted PPM1H’s involvement in various diseases, particularly cancer, where its dysregulation may contribute to tumorigenesis and the progression of malignant phenotypes. As an emerging therapeutic target, understanding the structure and function of PPM1H is essential, as it can provide insights into novel strategies for intervention in diseases characterized by aberrant signaling pathways. Recombinant PPM1H protein production allows for detailed biochemical and biophysical characterization, aiding in the study of its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and potential interactions with other cellular proteins. Additionally, the development of specific inhibitors or modulators of PPM1H may offer new avenues for therapeutic applications, particularly in the context of cancer treatment, where targeting phosphatases can be a promising strategy to combat tumor growth and resistance to existing therapies. Overall, the research on recombinant PPM1H protein is pivotal for elucidating its biological roles and therapeutic potential in various pathological conditions.
