简介
BMPR1A/ALK-3 protein (ACVRLK3) is the receptor bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) type I receptors, widely expressed in tissues[1]. BMPR1A/ALK-3 protein mediates iron metabolism factor hepcidin expression, interacts with GDF5/6 to regulate chondrocyte differentiation and adipogenesis[2][3]. BMPR1A-ID2/ZEB1-TGFBR2 signaling axis could serve as a potentia target for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and other endothelial-mesenchymal transition (EndoMT)-related vascular disorders[4]. BMPR1A/ALK-3 Protein, Canine (HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant protein produced in the HEK293 cells with C-terminal hFc-tag.

Biological Activity
Measured by its ability to inhibit rhBMP-4-induced alkaline phosphatase production by ATDC5 mouse chondrogenic cells. The ED50 for this effect is 0.03309 μg/mL in the presence of 15 ng/mL of Recombinant Human BMP‑4, corresponding to a specific activity is 3.022×104 units/mg. Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
BMPR1A, also known as ALK-3, is a member of the bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) receptor family, which plays a crucial role in various biological processes, including embryonic development, bone formation, and the regulation of cellular differentiation. The receptor is primarily involved in the BMP signaling pathway, which is essential for maintaining homeostasis and facilitating tissue regeneration. Dysregulation of this pathway has been implicated in several pathological conditions, including osteogenesis imperfecta, pulmonary arterial hypertension, and certain cancers. Given its significant role in both normal physiological processes and disease states, the study of recombinant BMPR1A/ALK-3 proteins has gained attention in biomedical research. This research not only facilitates a deeper understanding of BMP signaling mechanisms but also highlights the potential therapeutic avenues for targeting BMPR1A to treat related disorders. Recombinant BMPR1A proteins can be employed in various applications, including cell signaling studies, development of bioactive implants, and drug discovery efforts aimed at modulating BMP pathways. Overall, the exploration of BMPR1A/ALK-3 through recombinant protein technology is crucial for advancing both fundamental research and the development of novel therapies.
