Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Protein Description
GDF-15 (Growth Differentiation Factor 15) is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) superfamily and has emerged as a significant biomarker and therapeutic target in various diseases, including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and metabolic disorders. Elevated levels of GDF-15 correlate with disease severity, making it a potential indicator of poor prognosis. Its role in regulating inflammation, apoptosis, and tissue repair further underscores its biological importance. Recent studies have highlighted its involvement in the cellular response to stress and injury, suggesting a protective mechanism that could be exploited for therapeutic purposes. As a result, the production of recombinant GDF-15 protein has garnered interest for both research and clinical applications. This involves utilizing advanced recombinant DNA technology to produce GDF-15 in suitable expression systems, allowing for the exploration of its physiological roles and potential as a therapeutic agent. Additionally, understanding the molecular pathways influenced by GDF-15 can provide insights into its mechanisms of action and aid in the development of targeted therapies. Hence, ongoing research revolves around refining its production, characterizing its biological functions, and evaluating its efficacy in preclinical and clinical settings, paving the way for innovative approaches to manage various diseases.
