简介
HCFC2 protein is critically involved in cellular processes by binding to KMT2A/MLL1 and participating in the MLL1/MLL complex. This complex, characterized by KMT2A/MLL1, ASH2L, RBBP5, DPY30, WDR5, MEN1, HCFC1, and HCFC2, plays a key role in epigenetic regulation and gene expression. HCFC2 Protein, Mouse (His) is the recombinant mouse-derived HCFC2 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
HCFC2, or Hydrochlorofluorocarbon 2, is a significant subject of research due to its implications in environmental science and industrial applications. As a member of the HCFCs family, HCFC2 was initially developed to replace ozone-depleting substances like chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) in refrigeration and air conditioning systems. However, while HCFCs were seen as a transitional solution, they still pose environmental concerns, particularly regarding their greenhouse gas potential and contribution to ozone layer depletion. In recent years, the focus has shifted toward understanding the biochemistry of HCFC2, including its synthesis, degradation, and interaction with various biological systems. Researchers are particularly interested in the development of recombinant proteins to study the mechanisms of HCFC2 degradation by specific microbial strains, which can offer insights into bioremediation strategies. These studies aim not only to mitigate the environmental impact of HCFCs but also to explore sustainable alternatives that have lower environmental risks. Through genetic engineering and protein expression techniques, scientists are developing novel methods to enhance the degradation pathways for HCFC2, with the hope of finding effective solutions to reduce the accumulation of these compounds in the atmosphere.
