PRPS2

简介
The PRPS2 protein plays a key role in catalyzing the synthesis of phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate (PRPP), a key intermediate in nucleotide synthesis. By promoting the conversion of ribose 5-phosphate and ATP to PRPP, PRPS2 contributes to the availability of PRPP in various cellular processes, including de novo biosynthesis of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides. PRPS2 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived PRPS2 protein, expressed by E. coli , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
PRPS2 (phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate synthetase 2) is a critical enzyme in the purine nucleotide biosynthesis pathway, playing a vital role in the synthesis of phosphoribosyl pyrophosphate (PRPP), which serves as a key precursor for nucleotide synthesis. Mutations in the PRPS2 gene have been linked to various metabolic disorders, including gout and certain neurological conditions, underscoring its importance in human health. The study of PRPS2 recombinant protein is essential for understanding its enzymatic function and regulatory mechanisms. By generating PRPS2 in a recombinant form, researchers can investigate its biochemical properties, assay its activity, and explore its interactions with other cellular components. Additionally, understanding how mutations affect PRPS2 function can provide insights into the molecular basis of associated diseases, paving the way for potential therapeutic interventions. Recent advancements in protein expression and purification techniques have facilitated the production of high-purity PRPS2, enabling comprehensive studies into its structure-function relationship. Overall, research on PRPS2 recombinantly expressed protein not only enhances our understanding of purine metabolism but also contributes to the broader field of metabolic disease research.
