简介
The LIMK1 protein is an important serine/threonine protein kinase that controls actin dynamics downstream of Rho GTPases. Activation of ROCK1, PAK1, and PAK4 phosphorylates LIMK1, allowing it to phosphorylate and inhibit actin depolymerizing factors, including cofilin-1/CFL1 and destrin/DSTN. LIMK1 Protein, Human (D460N, sf9) is the recombinant human-derived LIMK1 protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with tag free.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
LIMK1 (LIM domain kinase 1) is a serine/threonine kinase that plays a critical role in the regulation of actin dynamics, cell migration, and neuronal development. It is involved in various cellular processes, including the modulation of the actin cytoskeleton through its interaction with cofilin, a key protein responsible for actin filament depolymerization. Aberrant expression and activity of LIMK1 have been implicated in several pathological conditions, including cancer metastasis, neurological disorders, and heart diseases. The study of LIMK1 as a recombinant protein has gained attention in recent years due to its potential as a therapeutic target and biomarker for these diseases. By producing and characterizing LIMK1 as a recombinant protein, researchers aim to better understand its biochemical properties, signaling pathways, and interactions with other proteins. This research is critical not only for elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying LIMK1 function but also for developing targeted interventions that address the dysregulation of this kinase in various conditions. The advancement in recombinant protein technology enables detailed structural and functional studies of LIMK1, thus paving the way for innovative strategies in disease treatment and prevention, highlighting its significance in cell biology and translational medicine.
