MAPK4

简介
MAPK4, an atypical MAPK protein, phosphorylates microtubule-associated protein 2 (MAP2) and MAPKAPK5, forming a complex with intricate phosphorylation events. Interaction with MAPKAPK5 leads to ERK3/MAPK6 phosphorylation at Ser-189, activating MAPKAPK5, which reciprocally phosphorylates ERK3/MAPK6. The specific cellular role of this interplay, while unclear, suggests ERK3's potential involvement in promoting entry into the cell cycle. MAPK4 Protein, Human (sf9, His, GST) is the recombinant human-derived MAPK4 protein, expressed by sf9 insect cells , with N-8*His, N-GST labeled tag.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The MAPK4 (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase 4) is a critical member of the MAPK family, which plays a crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and response to stress signals. Initially identified in plants, MAPK4 has garnered attention for its involvement in regulating plant immune responses and developmental processes. In mammals, while MAPK4's functions have been less well-characterized, emerging studies suggest its significant role in modulating immune responses and cellular signaling pathways. The recombination and expression of MAPK4 as a recombinant protein have become essential for elucidating its biological functions, offering insights into its potential applications in improving plant disease resistance and understanding its signaling mechanisms in higher organisms. By generating and characterizing MAPK4 recombinant protein, researchers aim to explore its interaction with various substrates and signaling partners, contributing to a deeper understanding of MAPK signaling dynamics and its implications in health and disease. Additionally, recombinant MAPK4 can serve as a valuable tool in drug discovery and therapeutic interventions targeting MAPK pathways, emphasizing the need for extensive research on this intriguing protein.
