The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • 保存条件 & 期限

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • 运输条件

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

PGM3, or Phosphoglucomutase 3, is an enzyme involved in carbohydrate metabolism, playing a crucial role in the interconversion of glucose-1-phosphate and glucose-6-phosphate, both of which are essential precursors in various biosynthetic pathways, including glycogen synthesis and glycolysis. The interest in PGM3 has been amplified due to its association with certain metabolic disorders and immune function regulation. Research has revealed that mutations in the PGM3 gene can lead to immunological diseases and increase susceptibility to infections, highlighting its potential as a therapeutic target. Additionally, PGM3 is implicated in the biosynthesis of nucleotide sugars, which are vital for glycosylation processes in protein synthesis and cellular signaling. Given its significant roles in metabolism and immune response, the study of PGM3 and the production of its recombinant protein are essential for understanding its biological functions and exploring its potential as a biomarker or therapeutic target in metabolic and immunological disorders. By generating and characterizing recombinant PGM3, researchers aim to elucidate its structure-function relationships, paving the way for future studies focused on drug development and the engineering of metabolic pathways to improve human health.
