NEK7

简介
The NEK7 protein is a key kinase that crucially drives mitotic cell cycle progression by enhancing centrosomal microtubule nucleation, ensuring robust spindle formation, and aiding in cytokinesis. Phosphorylation of EML4 at “Ser-146” promotes chromosome aggregation. NEK7 Protein, Human (His) is the recombinant human-derived NEK7, expressed by E. coli, with His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
NEK7, a member of the NIMA-related kinase (NEK) family, has garnered significant attention in recent years due to its crucial role in various cellular processes, including cell cycle regulation, mitosis, and cytokinesis. The research surrounding NEK7 focuses on its involvement in the activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome, a critical component of the innate immune response. Activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome is associated with the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines, which are implicated in various inflammatory diseases, metabolic disorders, and cancer. Given its pivotal role in these processes, NEK7 has emerged as a potential therapeutic target for inflammatory diseases. Researchers are particularly interested in its reconstitution and characterization as a recombinant protein to better understand its biochemical properties and functional mechanisms. The study of NEK7 as a recombinant protein aims to elucidate its structure-function relationships, allowing for the development of specific inhibitors or modulators that could be used in clinical settings. Additionally, understanding NEK7's interaction with other proteins in the inflammasome pathway is essential for developing strategies to manipulate immune responses, providing insight into potential interventions for treating diseases characterized by excessive inflammation. This research is critical for advancing our knowledge in the fields of cell biology, immunology, and therapeutic development, positioning NEK7 as a key player in the intersection of cancer biology and inflammation.
