简介
FSTL5 is an extracellular matrix-secreted protein. FSTL5 promotes cell proliferation and survival by influencing the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway in liver cancer and inhibits the progression of liver cancer by inducing Caspase-dependent apoptosis and regulating Bcl-2 family proteins. FSTL5 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived FSTL5 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
FSTL5, also known as Follistatin-like Protein 5, is a member of the follistatin family, which plays crucial roles in various physiological processes, including tissue homeostasis, development, and cellular signaling. Research into FSTL5 has gained significant attention due to its involvement in modulating the activity of transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) and bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), both of which are key players in regulating cell growth, differentiation, and apoptosis. Elevated levels of FSTL5 have been associated with several pathological conditions, including fibrosis, inflammation, and cancer, suggesting its potential as a biomarker for disease progression and prognosis. The recombinant protein form of FSTL5 is of particular interest as it provides a tool for understanding its biological functions and interactions in a controlled environment. By producing FSTL5 in a recombinant form, researchers can explore its role in signaling pathways and assess its therapeutic potential. Investigating the molecular mechanisms by which FSTL5 exerts its effects may lead to novel therapeutic strategies targeting fibrotic diseases, inflammatory disorders, and tumorigenesis. Overall, the study of recombinant FSTL5 not only enhances our understanding of its biological significance but also opens avenues for the development of innovative treatments in regenerative medicine and oncology.
