简介
T4 gp32 is a single-stranded DNA-binding protein actively involved in various stages of viral DNA processes, including replication, recombination, and repair. During replication, it covers the lagging strand of single-stranded DNA, supporting the replication fork. T4 gp32 Protein, T4 phage (His) is the recombinant T4 gp32 protein, expressed by E. coli , with N-6*His labeled tag. T4 gp32 Protein, T4 phage (His), has molecular weight of ~33.5 kDa.

稳定性测试
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

保存条件 & 期限
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

运输条件
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
The T4 gp32 protein, derived from the T4 bacteriophage, plays a crucial role in the viral life cycle by facilitating the replication of the viral genome. It is a single-stranded DNA-binding protein that stabilizes the unwound DNA during replication, thus preventing secondary structure formation that could impede the replication process. Due to its significant biological functions, T4 gp32 has been extensively studied for its interactions with nucleic acids and its mechanisms of action in the context of viral replication. Researchers have utilized recombinant DNA technology to produce T4 gp32 in various expression systems, enabling detailed structural and functional analyses. Investigations into T4 gp32 also have implications beyond bacteriophages, as the insights gained can be applied to understanding DNA metabolism in other organisms, including human cells. Moreover, the protein's stability and ability to bind single-stranded DNA make it a valuable tool in molecular biology applications, such as in the development of assays and therapeutic interventions for diseases involving DNA damage or replication errors. The ongoing research on T4 gp32 not only enhances our understanding of phage biology but also contributes to biotechnological and therapeutic advancements.
