Analytical Data

  • Gene name

    FGFR-1 alpha (IIIb)

  • 简介

FGFR-1 alpha, a conserved member of the FGFR family, binds acidic and basic fibroblast growth factors, influencing mitogenesis and differentiation. Mutations in FGFR1 cause syndromes and disorders. It exhibits ubiquitous expression, with notable levels in ovary (RPKM 21.8), fat (RPKM 21.4), and 25 other tissues. Alternatively spliced variants contribute to its functional diversity. FGFR-1 alpha (IIIb) Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc) is a recombinant protein dimer complex containing human-derived FGFR-1 alpha, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag. FGFR-1 alpha (IIIb) Protein, Human (HEK293, Fc), has molecular weight of ~113.3 kDa.

  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR-1) is a crucial member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor family that plays pivotal roles in various biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The FGFR-1 alpha isoform, specifically the IIIb variant, is predominantly expressed in epithelial tissues and is involved in developmental processes as well as the maintenance of tissue homeostasis. Dysregulation or mutations in FGFR-1 have been implicated in several pathological conditions, including various forms of cancer, where aberrant signaling contributes to tumor growth and metastasis. Research into the recombinant expression of FGFR-1 alpha (IIIb) has gained attention as it provides insights into the receptor’s structure-function relationships and its interactions with specific ligands, such as fibroblast growth factors (FGFs). Producing this recombinant protein allows for detailed biochemical studies and the exploration of its signaling pathways, which may reveal potential therapeutic targets or biomarker candidates for FGFR-related diseases. Recent advances in protein engineering techniques have facilitated the generation of high-purity FGFR-1 alpha (IIIb), enabling further investigations into its role in cellular signaling and its potential implications in targeted therapies. As understanding of FGFR-1 alpha (IIIb) increases, it holds promise not only in the realm of cancer biology but also in regenerative medicine and tissue engineering, making it a significant focus of contemporary biomedical research.
