Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
IgA2 (Immunoglobulin A2) is one of the two subclasses of immunoglobulin A, an antibody playing a crucial role in mucosal immunity. Unlike its counterpart IgA1, IgA2 possesses a unique hinge region that renders it more resistant to proteolytic degradation, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract. Research on IgA2 recombinant proteins has gained momentum due to their potential applications in vaccine development, mucosal immunotherapy, and the understanding of local immune responses. Studies suggest that IgA2 may have distinct functional properties, such as enhanced binding to specific pathogens and modulation of immune responses, which could be pivotal in addressing diseases characterized by mucosal infections. The ability to produce IgA2 as a recombinant protein allows researchers to investigate its structure-function relationships, explore its role in disease pathogenesis, and develop novel therapeutic strategies. Furthermore, recombinant IgA2 has the potential to serve as a valuable tool for elucidating the complex interplay between the immune system and microbiota in health and disease. Understanding the nuances of IgA2's functionality and its interactions with various antigens could ultimately lead to tailored therapeutic interventions that leverage mucosal immunity, thereby contributing to advances in immunology and biomedicine.
