  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MIP-4, also known as CCL18, is a member of the CC chemokine family, which plays a crucial role in immune system regulation and inflammation. It is predominantly expressed in tissues involved in immune responses, such as the lungs and lymph nodes. Increased levels of CCL18 have been associated with various pathological conditions, including pulmonary diseases, cancers, and autoimmune disorders, making it an important biomarker for disease progression and severity. Research has shown that CCL18 can influence the migration and activation of immune cells, particularly monocytes and T cells, which are pivotal in orchestrating adaptive immune responses. Given its significant role in mediating inflammatory processes, the recombinant protein of MIP-4/CCL18 has garnered attention in therapeutic developments and clinical applications. By producing this recombinant protein, researchers aim to further elucidate its biological functions, potential to modulate immune responses, and implications in disease diagnostics and treatment strategies. Overall, the study of MIP-4/CCL18 serves as a promising avenue for understanding immune mechanisms and developing novel therapeutic interventions targeting inflammatory diseases.
