  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

GLP-1 receptor (GLP-1R) is a pivotal target in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity due to its role in enhancing insulin secretion, inhibiting glucagon release, and promoting satiety. As a member of the incretin family, GLP-1 is secreted from the intestines in response to food intake, stimulating glucose-dependent insulin secretion from pancreatic beta cells. The therapeutic potential of GLP-1R agonists, such as exenatide and liraglutide, has led to significant advancements in diabetes management, demonstrating improved glycemic control and weight loss. However, challenges such as the rapid degradation of native GLP-1 necessitate the development of stable and effective GLP-1R agonists. Research into recombinant GLP-1R proteins aims to enhance understanding of the receptor's structure and activation mechanisms, ultimately leading to the design of novel therapeutics with improved efficacy and longer-lasting effects. Additionally, studying GLP-1R signaling pathways can provide insights into cardiovascular benefits and potential neuroprotective effects, broadening the therapeutic applications of GLP-1R modulators beyond glucose metabolism. This ongoing research is crucial for addressing the global epidemic of obesity and diabetes, highlighting the importance of GLP-1R as a focal point in metabolic health interventions.
