  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

MEC (Mucosal Effector Cell) and CCL28 (Chemokine C-C Motif Ligand 28) are proteins that play significant roles in the immune response, particularly in mucosal tissues. CCL28 is a chemokine specifically involved in the recruitment and positioning of immune cells in mucosal areas such as the gastrointestinal tract and airways. It binds to its receptor, CCR10, facilitating the migration of memory T cells and B cells, which are crucial for defending against pathogens. The study of recombinant MEC/CCL28 proteins has gained attention as understanding their structure and function can enhance our knowledge of immunological processes and help develop therapeutic strategies for various diseases. For instance, manipulating CCL28 could potentially improve vaccine efficacy by targeting mucosal immunity, which is essential for preventing infections at mucosal barriers. Additionally, research on these proteins can provide insights into conditions characterized by mucosal inflammation, such as allergies and autoimmune diseases. Thus, the exploration of MEC/CCL28 recombinant proteins not only offers a pathway for advancing immunological research but also holds promise for innovative treatments in clinical settings.
