Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
ALCAM (Activated Leukocyte Cell Adhesion Molecule) is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and plays a crucial role in cell adhesion, immune response modulation, and the development of various tissues. Research on ALCAM began to gain momentum due to its involvement in several physiological and pathological processes, including T cell activation, neuronal development, and cancer progression. The protein is expressed in various cell types, including leukocytes, endothelial cells, and certain cancer cells, indicating its broad influence on cellular interactions. Studies have shown that ALCAM facilitates the communication between immune cells and their environment, which is critical for immune surveillance and response. Furthermore, its overexpression in tumors has been linked to enhanced metastasis and poor prognosis, making it a potential target for therapeutic interventions. The recombinant protein form of ALCAM has been developed to facilitate in-depth studies of its structure-function relationships and to explore its potential as a biomarker for diseases. This research aims to elucidate the mechanisms by which ALCAM contributes to cellular signaling and adhesion, thereby providing insights into its role in health and disease, as well as identifying novel therapeutic strategies targeting ALCAM-related pathways. The ongoing investigations into ALCAM's function and therapeutic potential highlight its significance in immunology, oncology, and tissue engineering.
