简介
The FGFR-4 protein is a tyrosine protein kinase and cell surface receptor for fibroblast growth factor that regulates diverse cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, migration, lipid metabolism, and bile acid biosynthesis. Notably, it contributes to the downregulation of the bile acid synthase CYP7A1 in response to FGF19. FGFR-4 Protein, Human (HEK293, His) is the recombinant human-derived FGFR-4 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-His labeled tag.

Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 4 (FGFR4) is a critical receptor involved in various biological processes such as embryonic development, cell proliferation, and differentiation. Abnormalities in FGFR4 signaling have been implicated in several types of cancers, including liver, breast, and prostate cancers, making it a significant target for therapeutic intervention. The study of FGFR4 recombinant proteins has gained momentum due to their potential utility in understanding receptor biology, developing monoclonal antibodies, and screening small-molecule inhibitors. Recombinant FGFR4 proteins can be produced in various expression systems, allowing for functional assays and structural studies that elucidate the receptor's role in disease. Recent research highlights the importance of FGFR4 in modulating tumor microenvironments and its crosstalk with other signaling pathways, underscoring the necessity for detailed investigations into its molecular mechanisms. By generating and characterizing FGFR4 recombinant proteins, researchers aim to advance the development of FGFR4-targeted therapies and diagnostic tools, ultimately contributing to more effective treatments for cancers associated with FGFR4 dysregulation.
