  • Stability Test

The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.

  • Storage & Shelf Life

Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

  • Shipping

In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description

EXTL1, or Exostosin-like 1, is a member of the exostosin family involved in heparan sulfate biosynthesis, playing a crucial role in various biological processes, including cell signaling, growth, and differentiation. Its significance is highlighted in the context of skeletal development and the formation of extracellular matrices. Mutations and dysregulation of EXTL1 are linked to several human disorders, including hereditary multiple exostoses, a condition characterized by the development of multiple benign bone tumors. Furthermore, studies have suggested that EXTL1 may be implicated in tumorigenesis, particularly in certain cancers, due to its influence on cell proliferation and matrix interactions. As a result, understanding the structure, function, and regulatory mechanisms of EXTL1 has become a focal point in biomedical research. Investigating EXTL1 recombinant proteins can provide insights into its enzymatic activity, substrate specificity, and cellular interactions, paving the way for the development of targeted therapies and diagnostic tools for diseases associated with EXTL1 dysfunction. By establishing robust expression systems for EXTL1, researchers can explore its biochemical properties and potential roles in pathophysiological conditions. The ongoing research into EXTL1 not only contributes to our understanding of heparan sulfate biology but also holds promise for advancing therapeutic strategies in skeletal disorders and cancer.
