Stability Test
The thermal stability is described by the loss rate. The loss rate was determined by accelerated thermal degradation test, that is, incubate the protein at 37℃ for 48h, and no obvious degradation and precipitation were observed. The loss rate isless than 8% within the expiration date under appropriate storage condition.
-
Storage & Shelf Life
Samples are stable for up to twelve months from date of receipt at -20℃ to -80℃. Store it under sterile conditions at -20℃ to -80℃. It is recommended that the protein be aliquoted for optimal storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
-
Shipping
In general, recombinant proteins are supplied as lyophilized powder and shipped at ambient temperature. For bulk packages, the proteins are provided as frozen liquid and shipped with blue ice, unless otherwise requested by the customer.

Protein Description
GLCE (Glucuronyl C5-epimerase) is a crucial enzyme involved in the biosynthesis of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), which are essential components of the extracellular matrix and cell surface. GAGs, such as hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, and heparan sulfate, play significant roles in various biological processes, including cell signaling, tissue hydration, and structural integrity. Abnormalities in GAG metabolism have been linked to several diseases, including cancer, osteoarthritis, and mucopolysaccharidoses. The importance of GLCE in regulating the epimerization of glucuronic acid to iduronic acid in GAGs underscores its potential as a therapeutic target. Recent research has aimed to explore the structural and functional aspects of GLCE, paving the way for the development of recombinant GLCE proteins for therapeutic applications. Understanding the enzyme's mechanism and optimizing its production can enhance the therapeutic potential of GAGs in regenerative medicine and other biomedical fields. This research not only contributes to the understanding of GLCE's role in GAG biosynthesis but also has implications for developing novel treatments for diseases related to GAG dysregulation.
